Representatives from the Thai Naresuan University visited HUSS

Representatives of the Naresuan University of Thailand and the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) discussed, among other things, the mobility of teachers and students within the framework of the Pannonia Scholarship Programme and the joint development of sports and performance diagnostics between the two universities.


A delegation from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) received representatives from Naresuan University on 14 April. The Thai institution was founded in 1967 and became a university in 1990.

The two institutions started discussions last September on cooperation in research and development opportunities, mainly related to health sciences, and the parties formalised their intentions in a general framework agreement in February 2025.

The academics and researchers of the two universities have since held several online meetings, and further clarified the details of the cooperation at a meeting held on 14 April in the Rector’s meeting room at HUSS.

The meeting on 14 April was attended by Professor Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, Professor Kumpon Subsomboon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Korakod Nusit, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr Thanyaporn Saengngoen, Lecturer of the Faculty of Dentistry.

HUSS was represented at the meeting by Professor Gábor Géczi, Director of the Institute of Economics and Social Sciences, Head of the Department of Sport Management, Denissa Blanár, Director of the Directorate of International Relations (DIR), Dr Imre Udvary, Head of the Operational Directorate, Dr Péter Szikra, Associate Professor at the Department of Health and Sports Medicine, Tamás Jankó from the Projects and Innovation Centre and Györgyi Koppa, staff member of DIR.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of E-Med4All Europe Ltd., Dr Sándor Kulin and Dr Dániel Kulin, developers of the HeartReader innovation for real-time cardiovascular monitoring based on photoplethysmography (PPG), and Dr Viktor Sasi, Assistant Professor at the Department of Invasive Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Szeged, and Head of the Department of Invasive Cardiology, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Hospital.
